Your mother is confused. She's not thinking right. You are NOT ugly and you are NOT stupid. What you are is bright, articulate, and worthy of dignity and respect. Please contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about the abuse you are still dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting if you decide to disclose the abuse. You can visit their website by copying & pasting the following URL into your browser: http://www.childhelp.org/get_help

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Your mother is out of control
by: Anonymous

Moya, your mother is wrong. You are not ugly; you are beautiful. You are not stupid; you are smart, articulate and bright. You are not to blame; your mother is really the one that has problems and she needs help...but you need help, too, so the sooner you tell someone, the better. Darlene is right! Moya, please tell someone...especially those you really trust the most!

Dont listen to your mother. Mine did the same thing all growing up and I always made excuses for her saying that she was just stressed or I provoked her. She got to the point where she would beat me and wouldnt stop til I was so numb that i wouldnt move while she was hitting me when she could see the pain by the marks that made her happy and feel like she did her job. I was having a seizure and she grabbed my hair and held me up and said she would beat me if i did have one when i woke up and i wasnt going to get out of my punishment just because i had a seizure. Remember you are beautiful and whatever your mother says about you or to you just prove them wrong.

I don't know what is wrong with your mother but for now hang in there while you get help. Call the abuse line and get help there. I really don't know what to say but try not to upset her. listen to her and maybe she will stop hurting you. TELL ANYONE WHO CAN HELP YOU. While you are following your mom's orders tell as many people as you can. Tell school counselers, teachers, police, ANYONE.the sooner you tell people the sooner you will get help.
