Parents have the right to discipline their children, but they do not have the right to harm them. Your father has serious problems that he's taking out on you. I'm not only disgusted by what he has done to you, but also that your mother enables it. Fear or not, the safety and well-being of one's child must come first; that means stepping up to stop the abuse. Please contact one of the hotlines listed on my stories page, depending on where you live, in order to talk to someone confidentially.

You don't deserve to be abused, Melissa. You certainly deserve help for the fact that you are being abused. I send you love, light and positive energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
