I'm so glad you're now in a safe place. I applaud and commend your friend for telling and getting you the help you needed. She is the best kind of friend to have. But I also applaud and commend YOU, Melissa, for being brave enough to speak out in the first place, and then tell the authorities what was happening in your home. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. Doing so can very well help other victims of sexual abuse.

I love stories with happy endings

I'm so glad to hear that your abuse was stopped. You have a true friend and should be proud of yourself for being truthful. Now your father is getting the help he needs, and someday he may even thank you for it.

Thank you for posting your story. It may help other victims see that telling is the best way to go, and it may help others who know victims to decide to tell also.
