Meghann, you deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Try talking to your dad about how things are going in your home. Even though he's away a lot, he may be more help to you than you realize; after all, that's his job as your father. I also suggest you to contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about what your grandmother is doing to you. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency.  Your grandma is really out of control

Meghann, your grandmother has lots of problems. She is really out of control and really needs help...but you need help, too. Please tell someone you really trust, including your father.

Meghann1 don't delay, you are a clever child at a 11 years of age, you know that your Grandma is cruel to you. You were brave to tell Darlene that is a beginning for you to do as she requests you. She sure know best, she was your age too and knows what a beating is all She got help and is now making sure all who were beaten and abused get help so that they can live fuller and more complete LIves. Meghann1 be kind and loving of yourself. I bet you have another girl your own age who you share your secrets with, then with her get the help Darlene suggests. Don't delay, Your Father is a good man I'm certain he too will keep you safe and care for you welbeing. You be strong now and tell him. Grandma's can be cruel without meaning it but your's knows she is hurting you. Get Help.
