Thank you for sharing more of your story with my visitors and me. You're trying to turn pain into power with your goals to become a foster parent; I applaud and commend you for that. Don't let the state policy of reunification deter you. Even a short amount of time spent valuing a precious child can have a major impact on the rest of his/her life. Always remember that regardless of how long you have children in your care, you can be a powerful force in their lives.

Turning your pain into power ''WOW'' you know the rest
by: maurice

For years now I have helped children/teenagers to Always believe in themselves. To trust each other, to be there fore each other. to be safe in each others company. There's safety in numbers. What you want to pursue in your life after abuse is highly commendable. go for it. don't be hindered in your effors. Darlene has give you great words of affirmation, act on them, she believes in you and your giftedness. All you have to do NOW is be pro-active in going for your goal as a foster parent. It's a huge responsibility which you know too well but the benefits to the children is they will be safe guarded from abuse. Mary 4 go for it. no holding back.
