I'm delighted that my comments to your story help you, Mary. And yes, whenever you want to share another event, you are welcome to. I have several visitors who have shared many stories here on the site.

Thank you for sharing more of your story with my visitors and me, and for the suggestion that I deal with mother-daughter sexual abuse in one of my upcoming books. You might be interested to know that I've already started the "dialogue" for such a chapter.

I wanted to address what you said about abuse. I think you said something to the effect of, "...it may not have been as bad as physical abuse..." Etc.

Abuse is abuse. It doesn't matter if it's sexual, physical, emotional, verbal, if it's neglect. What's important is the EFFECT the abuse had on you, the survivor.

Abuse, any abuse is painful. Your pain is your pain. It's real to you and the memories, the abuse, your feelings - are real to you as well.

Is it "worse" than person x's abuse? Completely irrelevant in this context. Please don't ever worry that your abuse is not severe enough or serious enough. If *you* think it's abuse, then that's the bottom line.

Be well.

My Two Cents.
