You were very brave...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

I gather you told someone about the abuse, Marlene; that was very brave of you. I do hope your family is getting you some type of counselling in order to help you deal with all this. It's great to have family and friends, and they are indispensable, but there are underlying issues that will continue to haunt you if you don't seek out some form of professional help.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. You have a very wise friend who tells you to "take it one day at a time".

I suggest you contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, but they can help you with your options.

hello :)
by: Cassie1

Hey! It is so great that your family and friends are supporting you, but like Darlene said they can't help you with everything. You need to get real help. I don't know if you are in counceling or not right now, but I sincerely hope you are. He was wrong for doing that, and he will always be wrong. You have support from friends and family. That is a great step forward, so keep walking. Please take care! I wish you the best!!
With much love,
Cassie
