What happened to you at the hands of your mother was far beyond what can be considered discipline. I do hope you are now in a safe place with your aunt. But you still need to deal with the anger you feel, both toward your parents and your boyfriend. You mentioned in another posting that you saw your school counselor last year...this goes beyond what a school counselor can do to help. You need the help of a professional. Talk to your auntie about seeing someone in order to help you deal with the betrayal and abandonment of your mother. Consider contacting Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counselors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency. Visit their website by copying & pasting the following URL into your browser: http://www.childhelp.org/get_help

You have a lot to deal with, Lyric, more than anyone your age should have to deal with. Reach out for whatever help might be out there for you. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Your mom is out of control
by: Anonymous

Lyric, your mom has serious problems and she needs help, so the sooner you tell, the better. Please tell someone you really trust (other than your aunt). Oh, and I really hope that you broke up with your so-called boyfriend because he is a truly sick excuse of a man who should've known better than to rape you. However, I'm glad that your aunt is with you now because she is so sweet for doing that!
