When you say that you're "disgusted" with your Self because of what happened to you as a little girl, you're apply mature adult values to what you did and didn't do as that helpless little girl. That's not being fair to your Self. You had no blame in what happened to you. Blame (and shame) and guilt belongs squarely on the shoulders of the person who sexually abused you. HE is responsible, not you. He took advantage of your youth and your vulnerabilities. He had all the power, and he misused that power in a vile way. NEVER blame your Self. It wasn't your fault. And I can certainly understand the hostility you feel for your parents for not knowing, for putting you at risk. Now you need help for those feelings and for the way this is affecting you. If you really and truly can't talk to your parents, consider talking to a school counsellor or a trusted teacher. Just don't keep the secret. Keeping the secret will continue to haunt you. Consider one of the hotlines listed on my stories page, depending on where you live, in order to talk to someone confidentially. You didn't deserve to be abused, Linda. You certainly deserve help for the fact that you were. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
