Confrontations...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Lea, you believe that nothing good has come to you. Just based on what you wrote above, I don't agree. Your mother's physical abandonment was the ultimate in personal betrayal for you;the emotions must have been overwhelming. But here's a thought...perhaps not having her around was a healthier thing for you, as difficult as that is for you to wrap your thinking around. You don't know what would have been had she stay. You don't know what other acts she was capable of. After all, she harmed you to the point of near death, and she allowed a man into your life to babysit you who sexually offended you.

You said you're never going to be happy in life until you have a confrontation with your mother to get some answers. Lea, a confrontation with your mother is unlikely to yield the answers you're looking for. A confrontation may well leave you with more questions than you have already. If you set a "happiness" goal for yourself that is likely unattainable, you may well live your life hoping for a future that will never come. What a shame that would be; to live your entire life waiting instead of actually living it.

The fact that you cry over "everything" tells me that you are an amazingly caring person. Don't lose sight of who you really are, Lea: a strong, articulate and determined young woman. See the qualities you have in yourself; I sure do.

Thank you for sharing your story here, Lea. I do hope that it has helped you in some way.

I can relate...
by: Lea

Lea, I am sorry that you didn't have a good mom and I can relate...but although I can relate, that person that made me relate is MOSTLY my brother. Everybody that knows my brother very well loves him and thinks that he is very nice, amazing, hot, sensitive, friendly, kind, cool, hip, and downright funny, but whenever it's just me and my family, only one person could see the reality; he isn't. He is often very cruel and very manipulative! You might want to try counselling and I hope that you are in a safe place, and plus, I am also sorry that your mom willingly hired such a pervert of a babysitter that thought nothing of molesting you and anyone else that he babysits. I hope that pervert and you so-called mom get locked up for the rest of their miserable lives! Maybe they don't even know how precious you are, but you are very strong. Your so-called mom didn't deserve to have such a precious wonderful little girl to call her own because f her brutally beating you with a 4x4 and I am so sorry that she abandoned you. I hope you try counselling (hey, wait! Did I mention it?) and therapy cuz you are worth the help that you need. God bless!
