The torment can stop. But in order for it to stop you must be willing to re-frame what is happening in your life now. The abuse is no longer happening at the hands of this pedophile. You are now safe from him, except in your mind. Except in your thoughts. If you try to forget what happened, the memories just keep resurfacing. If instead you change what you're thinking, everything else will change. Whenever a memory comes to you, rather than disgust, focus on the incredible strength you had, and still have. He didn't break you. And you brought that strength with you into adulthood, even if you don't see it right now. Healing is a frame of mind, Kristi. You have the ability to re-frame what happened to you, and also to acknowledge and accept the wonderful person you are today. This would be a great step in taking back your power. This would be a great way of no longer allowing the pedophile to have power over you. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
