People DID believe you: your family and family friends believe you; and when it comes to your emotional health, that's the most important group of all. Try not to cast a broad brush over everyone because some uncaring uninformed people in the system failed to do their jobs and adequately protect you. You have support from your mother, and possibly others. Focus on that as a positive. Use the experiences you've endured to help others in some way. Find a way to turn pain into power. You've already started to do that by posting your story here on my site. Who You Really Are has nothing to do with what your pedophile of a father did to you and your sister, or what happened as a result of a system that betrayed both of you. Who You Really Are goes so much deeper than that. It's the core of your being; and when you tap into that, you'll shine, Kelsey, you'll shine. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

You are so brave to have told your mum and saved you and your sister from a lifetime of devastating abuse. Your mum sounds like an amazingly courageous woman- no wonder you share such a close relationship, both sharing such a wise strong, and fighting spirit. Such a special quality to have. I wish you love and healing

its good you said someting because i did something like that ,but not sexual abuse it was verbal emotional and physical
