None of what happened was your fault, K; NONE OF IT!
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

K, you do deserve love, but it must first come from YOU. You cannot make people love you, but you can choose to love YOURSELF. You're worthy of that. I will think about you and your plight as I write my books on healing from child abuse. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Praying for you..........
by: StacyLynn

K,

I am so sorry that someone claiming to be a christian did those awful things to you. That man was not a christian and my heart broke when you said you cant even listen to christian music or any thing like that. I cant even imagine how you view God. I truly hope that you will cross paths with someone that can show you how a true christian live thier lives. I will be praying for you.

Self worth/Self esteem the most important thing to work at
by: maurice

K your story is so real that what Darlene said to you in her Comment is a must for you. I am the most important person now to Love, honour and respect. Abuse degrades our mind and body making us feel no good. This wrong attitude about ourselves remains with us until we begin to do something about it. Those who abused us must not be winners over us. I can change that is my focus once I accept that others especially those who abused me, My Mother especially won't change and will live in denial about it. So K begin today, looking in the Mirror and saying all the most positive things about the wonderful and beautiful you in the MIrror. Seek the help of a counsellor or a real and true friend to assist you in building up your own self worth and self esteem. What was defiled through rape make beautiful that acknowledgment of it's beauty comes from deep within yourself. Be gentle and kind to your body love an cherish it as the most beautiful part and prettiest surface level of you. It's okay K to love yourself, to say loving and nice things about yourself in front of the mirror It is not a crazy request to you. I'M SPECIAL AND I LOVE ME. I can, I will, I must just for me. K let go of all the awful memories of the abuse done to you. Easier said than done but let go you must to erase the scars of it all. I was not to blame, it was not my fault, it was done to me against my will, I was beautifully innocent and most vulnerable when it was all done to me. I should have said it to someone but out of RESPECT i felt it was the wrong thing to do at the time. You are articulate and intelligent and adult now to tell people who will help you deal with it so that you can have peace of mind. Heed Darlene's words to you, said from her heart, also as a professionally trained woman stemming from her own abuse. She is good for you and it is great you have arrived with her many visitors on her most helpful website. Always believe in yourself Kayla O

Hi wonderful college student. Work from your goodness and greatness.
by: maurice

I am a big girl now, I know my own mind, I know there were bad people who did very wrong things to me. Darlene in her Comment put that right for me. Telling me it was not my FAULT. K. Don't Quit believeing in yourself. Negative thinking to say there are more bad people than good ones. Yes if we (I) confine that statement to the people that have been around me maybe there is more bad people than good one's. K your now in the most wonderful place in your life surrounded by hundreds of Young Students like yourself. I am certain you make friends easily. so begin to surround yourself with good people NOW in your life. Let them be YOUR angels of hope. You are intelligent, you know that a number of people used you and abused you when you were innocent and vunerable. taking advantage of you. making your powerless because of your age and vunerability. Darlene's words to you should affirm you. ONly you can make yourself who ever you want. I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M SPECIAL, I'M UNIQUE There is only one me in the whole of the universe. ''WOW'' That makes me who I really want to be. Letting go of the past takes time K. Only you can make time work for you. Your healing is in your own hands NOW. With all the comments to your story you can bet we all BELIEVE AND LOVE you. The unlovablepunk is loved and she knows that by us too in the spirit. We sure feel your hurt and your pain and emphatise with you. Only you can move on from all the positive encouragement you've received from us. ESPECIALLY DARLENE her words are from her heart to you. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Make loving yourself the feeling and once you do that then Positive ways will open up for you to LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULL. Hi a good talk with a Therapist would affirm you and all I have said to you. So K off your BTM and live well, laugh alot and love much. I can, I will, I must Maurice not for you but for ME.
