You're dealing with an element that did not exist decades ago: the social networking sites; which makes your situation all the more violating. But you KNOW what happened. It's what you do now for yourself that's important. Please consider some type of counseling in order to help you through the effects, and now the betrayal. The fact that grown ups, supposedly mature adults, have taken to social networking to discredit you is deplorable. Consider contacting FB and tell them what's going on, and demand that such posts be taken down. It may or may not work, but it's worth a try. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. And good luck to you.

Unfriend them....
by: AnonymousT

it's toxicity they're spreading & you don't need it.

Memories will come back in peices, just accept them, write them down...date as you go. Then decide what is the best course to take. High School & colleges often offer counseling services, not specific specialized services (child abuse) but at least it an ear to listen.

I wish you courage and peace on your healing journey, whether it takes place now or several yrs from now.
