A number to call to talk to someone...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Kaitlyn, you are absolutely right when you say that it's better when parents do NOT argue in front of their kids. It really does change who they are. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. And please think about contacting Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about what you are dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency. It took great courage to write you story
by: maurice

Kaitlyn, you sure are very brave, well done for telling your story on Darlene's site and her visitors. She has created a site of care and concern for children and people who have been abused. Sh knows from experience what abuse can and does to each of her visitors. Her comment is worth taking special understanding for your own safety and protection. She knows full well there is life after abuse. Annonymous is a wee voice in the wilderness saying to you as I do take the advice of Darlene and get help for yoursefl and your sister. I am certain Kaitlyn you have one, maybe two special people in your life called FRIEND. It is a human condition that we all build up a trust with such a jewel person for us. We undress all our inner feelings with all their aches and pains to on a daily basis. Having such a friend is a survival mechanism for all human beings irrespective of colour our creed. Share and tell them what your wrote to Darlene. Then hold their hands and walk towards a counsellor or a therapist with them. It will do you a power of good Kaitlynn. Believe Me but deffineately Darlene and Annymous. We care about you. we love you, we too needed to and did do what we are asking you to do. I am living my life to the full because I did. Get the message special child of God and the Universe. Always believe in yourself. I can, I will, I must, think positive, act positive and be positive. Today look in the mirror and say I'm Special, I'm beautiful, I'm wonderful, I love me. Era go on. It too will do you a power of good.
