Cowering from your father is one thing; turning your back on resources is another...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Jennifer, I do hope you'll find a safe place to go soon. Your boyfriend doesn't dictate your choices, you do. As I wrote in my first comment to you, contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone. If you refuse to do so, you are robbing yourself of an opportunity for someone to talk to about your current situation, someone who might be able to help. I can understand why you are cowering in a closet, but if you continue to turn your back on possible resources, nothing can even remotely change in your life. And while I appreciate that you are coming to my site and sharing, no one here can truly help you in the way you need it most. You must help yourself. Turning 18 in June won't miraculously change your life, as much as you may believe that now. Yes, you may be out of your parents' home, but you'll still need a plan for your future. And if living with your boyfriends' parents becomes an option, you'll still need a plan for your future. Please call Child Help.

Thank you for sharing more of your story with my visitors and me, and for your all-important message to others who visit here. I do wish you all the best.
