You were so courageous to tell. And yes, you did put an end to him sexually abusing other children by telling. Chances are, he sexually abused his daughter as well. And I'm delighted that your parents believed you and took it seriously.

I agree that you are a survivor. I also believe that you need help to deal with the repercussions of having been abused. You might not realize it now, but as you move through the various ages and stages of your life, you may find yourself triggered and haunted by what he did to you over those years. So please talk to your parents about seeking out some form of counselling or therapy. It wouldn't mean that you were a "victim", it would mean that you are "victorious" over the abuse. I send you love, light and positive energy, Haley. Thank you for sharing your story and your all-important message with my visitors and me. You truly are an inspiration.
