My deepest sympathies...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

My condolences on the loss of your beloved best friend, Everest. It was a heinous criminal act this stepfather committed; and I'm delighted to learn that he is no longer in your life, abusing you in so many vile ways. I do hope you are safe now.

If you've disclosed abuse to your teacher, s/he is legally obligated to report this to the appropriate authorities. But I am not certain that this is a recent disclosure, or one from your past. For more help, please contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about the abuse you are still dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting if you decide to disclose what has, or is, happening to you.

And just for the record, you are NOT a "terrible child". Your stepfather was a "terrible" abuser. Don't take the word of an abuser!

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

A lot of crimes committed...your stepdad is truly an animal...
by: Francine

Freedom Writer, I may not like dogs, but what happened to your beloved pooches is very horrifying! If I was your mother, I'd kick that so-called stepdad of yours out of the house! What he did to Everest is so horrendous! When he forced you to get lost, he brutally shot and deliberately killed Everest; that man is truly evil and malicious. He should've been in jail for the rest of his miserable life. I'm so glad that he moved out cuz that animal did not deserve to hurt you no more. You might need to try counselling.
