A number to call...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Eileen, you said you've gone to Child Services twice and nothing happened. By "nothing" I gather you mean that nothing changed.

Some time ago, another visitor having similar challenges that you are facing wrote her story on my site. A social worker commented on that story with a suggestion that the teen contact Social Services and ask to speak to a supervisor, which would have the effect of escalating the case. I don't know if this would make a difference in your situation, but that is an option for you. I also suggest you contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about what you are dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. And it sounds to me as though you need someone to listen to you. I for one am very glad that you are still "breathing", Eileen. You have a lot to offer. Don't ever lose sight of that. Don't ever believe that you aren't worthy and deserving of love and positive attention, because you are worthy. Keep your head up, stay strong, and talk to people who can help.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. I wish you all the best, dear.

Lets see.So ive been molested/raped by 2-3 different guys. The last one,my step dad...he just got so so angry at me for geting child services involved he got worse, molesting me and beating me worse not to mention screaming all day long and saying its all my fault.I dont want to believe that its my fault but it is.I should be agravating everyone.Anywho,my mother, was an alchoholic basically still is beats me and screams at me,too.she says i do EVERYTHING wrong.i tend to watever she want me to and try my best but no its NEVER good enough, ever.my brother molests/rapes me but hes in college so i just got to deal with the never ending screaming from everyone i live with and my dad.now im scared to talk because i dont want to disapoint anyone, thats all i seem to do.Sometimes(more often now) it seems like my life means nothing,im useless.I couldnt describe what exactly im going through right now but i tried...all thanks to my science teacher(which sadly ive never had a conversation with)im still breathing.there are not enough words to say thank you enough to him.theres not enough gratitude in the world.

Eileen, I've moved your post to the comments section of your original story contribution, because I do not post duplicate, or what is essentially duplicate, content on separate pages. In my original comments to you, I gave you a number to contact. There isn't anyone on this site who can truly help you, other than to offer encouragement; some of whom already have. Please contact the people at Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453). They are in a better position to offer assistance.

by: katrina

I lived in a home when constant screaming was going on.I was also slapped and hit but not sexually abused. My ally and friend was my brother and I feel terrible that your brother became an enemy. Can you talk to your chemistry teacher or the principal of your school? He might even know of other abused kids in your situation. You are not worthless you are very tough .The fact that you went on this website is proof that you havent given up.Keep posting and talk to that teacher!

Scream
by: Not Broken !!!!

Scream your head off to make them listen. Social Service can be stupid some times. Tell them to example you. Scream till someone listen. Get out...go to the police, go to a teacher, go to anyone you trust. Get yourself out of that hell hole. You are wonderful and life is beautiful. You have the RIGHT to live a normal life without the pain. I am praying for you. Good Luck...SCREAM AS LOUD AS YOU CAN TO MAKE SOMEONE TO HEAR YOU.

Seriously, get out of that house!
by: Anonymous

Please try to get out of that house as soon as you can, Eileen; you've suffered enough even though you shouldn't ever even have suffered at all. Your parents and your brother are mentally ill. As soon as you get away from them, your healing can start in earnest.
