I'm glad your life is going better now. Your father may be over-protective, but it sounds as though he cares about you and wants you to be safe. It's also possible that he's downplaying what happened with your mother so that he doesn't upset you more than you already are. If there is any kind of counselling available to you, I strongly suggest you seek it out, Donna. You didn't deserve to be mistreated and abandoned the way you were. You DO deserve help now that you have. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Oh Donna 1. What a well written honest telling of your story: Don't worry yourself about your spelling mistakes: I make them regularly because I write away as I feel too quickly at times so letters jjump in where they should'nt etc. I could and Darlene certainly did read and understand fully what you wrote: Donna 1, if at all possible follow and act on Darlene's advice in her comment: You are safe now, protected and loved by a Father who cares: You begin to make a life for yourself, build up your self worth, your self confidence: trust yourself: Love yourself> Think positive, act positive and be positive: Live well: Laugh alot: Love much: I will; I can: I must because I a WORTH it: Donna 1 get out and about with your friends, class & school mates and like-minded peers taking part in sporting and cultural activities. Have a healthy mind in a healthy body: It will do you a power of good. Build up your confidence by saying positive things about yourself in front of the MIRROR: I believe everyone should have a good mirror image of themselves: Be gentle and kind on yourself: Go on give yourself a big HUG and cuddle good feelings into that beautiful body of yours: It is not a silly thing to be asked to do: sure there is no one looking go on hug yourself: Donna 1 have true friends in your life who will always be there for you: Respect you for who you are now rather than the abused child of a very uncaring sick mother: Hi Donna 1 Darlene encouraged you to seek out counselling: It will do you a power of good:
