Your grandparents showed you what love was; and that was so important in your life. That love gave you roots that you needed. Your father clearly had serious problems that he took out on you. What's important now is what you do with your life in the Present moment. You can choose to heal, or you can choose something else in your life. The abuse you endured is over. What's left are the residual thoughts and emotions. Allow your Self to feel those emotions fully. But don't stay in those emotions. Make a conscious choice to look for the best feeling you can find in the moment. And then keep going. You are worthy of dignity and respect and love; and that starts with you treating your Self with that dignity and respect and love. I send you love, light and healing energy, David. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
