It's very sad and horrible the life you had to endure as a child. I guess there always has been and always will be some very pathetic and sick people in this world. The only real consolation (maybe), is that one day God will deal with the likes of those pathetic people that hurt little children and others. As much as you loved your mom, she was not "there" for you when you disparately needed her. Maybe she was unable to deal with the truth of it all. Hopefully, you heal from all of that. You know being able to be just the opposite of "him", happy and having peace within would be the ultimate best ending to your story.
