Understandable and understood...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

I can understand how you as a little boy would reject a "poor" little boy; you'd been taught that class was everything. You'd been taught that "Phil" and "Gary" were a step above you, and not just in the way they behaved. You'd been taught that the goal was to move up in life and that being "poor" was among the worst things to befall someone. It's no wonder that you as a young boy would have adopted such a way of thinking. It's when you questioned that thinking that you changed it.

And David, I hear your suffering. Frank was also a sex offender, and no one protected you. No one kept you safe from harm. No one gave you a second thought. Your mother abandoned you and betrayed you. YOUR MOTHER, OF ALL PEOPLE. The mother that you bent over backwards to please. The mother you tried so hard to make love you. You didn't deserve to be treated so callously and with such disregard. The fact that you made changes in your life to ensure that history did not repeat itself is a testament to your courage and strength. Whether your mother ever realizes it or not, she gave birth to a TERRIFIC son when she gave birth to you. Don't ever lose sight of that.

Expect Part 3 (what you titled Part Five The Final Chapter, David) to be posted sometime in the next few days.
