Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. Although your father was never prosecuted for what he did to you and the rest of his children, at least he was put away for a time where he could no longer abuse. If and when you need to talk about what happened to you, consider contacting Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453). They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting if you decide to disclose the abuse you lived through. You can visit their website by copying & pasting the following URL into your browser: http://www.childhelp.org/get_help

As for your goals to help children, that is turning pain into power, CathyAnn. Your passion combined with your personal experience growing up, I have no doubt that you will most definitely make a difference to children. I commend and applaud you for wanting to do that.
