You are an inspiration...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Bravebird, you've certainly chosen an appropriate moniker for yourself; indeed, you ARE brave. To have come through such adversity, to have been battered and berated, to have been sexually assault and THEN have to face the blame when YOU were the one molested and wronged, and still come through it all realizing that what you were taught were lies...it's a testament to your courage and strength. You ARE deserving of life and love. You ARE deserving of friendships and relationships. You ARE deserving of dignity and respect. Not only do you now know that, you are treating yourself in the way that others never did. I commend and applaud you for showing yourself the love you are worthy of. Keep working hard for what you know to be the truth and for what you want in your life. I have no doubt that you will be successful in all your endeavours.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me, and for providing hope to other child abuse survivors who still believe the lies they were taught.
