The fact that you told someone is very good. Talking about what happened to you to others is very helpful, but it's not enough. Yes, understanding friends is important, but what you really need is professional help. By not telling your parents, you are robbing them of the opportunity to help you in the way they can, the way they are responsible to help you. Remembering when you did is not unusual. It wasn't only a trigger, it showed that you are now strong enough and mature enough to handle what you could not before. Tell your parents so they can provide the kind of help you really need. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
