I can relate to your "parents" expecting you and your brother to be perfect; in fact, mine, too, are perfectionists and they wanted me to be like them all the time...even when they would sometimes take me out...and whenever they would take me out, not to mention to the restaurants, I was always expected to be perfect, sit straight, eat slowly, put a napkin on my lap (unless I needed to wipe my mouth and hands with it, that is), etc. and I failed, they would often yell at me and the like. Oh, and they also expected me to get straight A's (in fact, they really hate anything under A...especially D's and F's) and they really like everything to be clean (and if I'd screw up, then I'd actually meet my fat, which includes beatings, being called every name in the book and more). Well, the only thing I am really perfect at, however, is making friends...and I must say that my "parents" are often really jealous of my attractiveness and popularity. Well, anyway, your parents are really twisted in their own ways of thinking...not to mention control freaks and they need help. However, I am glad that your girlfriend-turned-wife is with you now because she is so sweet for doing that.
