That teacher was your saviour...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

It's so good to learn that one of your teachers reported the abuse that was so obvious, and that you were ultimately put in foster care. I do hope you experienced a better life in foster care than you did with your father. Given what he was capable of when you were so little, I can only imagine what he would have been capable of as you got older. I'm glad you didn't have to find out.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Monster for a father
by: Francine

Your father is wrong, Ami. You are not bad; you are A GOOD GIRL. Even if you did something wrong, like breaking a toy or spilling water on the carpet, DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO GET BEAT FOR WHAT YOU DID. I hope your so-called father got thrown into jail for the rest of his miserable life. To make matters worse, HE EVEN TOOK PLEASURE IN DISCIPLINING YOU!!!! I'm so glad that the teacher called the cops (and that the cops sent you to foster care) cuz they're so sweet for doing that. NO PARENT, WHETHER HE/SHE IS BIOLOGICAL, OR STEP, SHOULD EVER CALL YOU NAMES, SUCH AS BAD, AND THEY SHOULD NOT GLOAT ABOUT BEATING YOU.
