But you did have a stable relationship with your mother, before the separation, so of course you'd miss not having it now. Besides, ALL children want that from their parents; and when a child doesn't get it, s/he believes there is something wrong with him or her. Nothing can be further from the truth. You ARE worthy of love and of having a wonderful relationship with BOTH your mother and father. This has nothing to do with you and who you are, but rather, it's about the troubles your parents are dealing with. They don't know how to cope, and you seem to be bearing the brunt of it. Please consider contacting Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. And always remember, you are a lovely person, regardless of what's happening in your environment.

by: Alayna

I know how you feel. The same happens to me but I have a step dad now. I still feel like I dont have a connection with my parents. Im the oldest out of my siblings and I pretty much get the short end of the stick on everything.
