I don't really know where to start. The abuses
I witnessed and endured started at I think 4 years old. I remember my dad
beating my mom severely and my brother Adam who is a year and a half younger
than me, watched most of it.
Things got worse when my brother was 5 and was
diagnosed with epilepsy. I was sometimes left with my uncle while my parents stayed
with Adam in the hospital. My cousin Alex always wanted to play a game that he
said his dad taught him. He would touch me and make me touch him (I was about 6
or 7). One time, his dad even walked in on our 'game'. I was crying for Alex to
get off me, but all my uncle did was say "oh" and walked out of the
room. My uncle told my mom about the incident and blamed me for everything,
telling her I was making him do it. Nothing was ever done about him touching me
(this all lasted from the ages of 6-9).
Adam got over his epilepsy around the age of 8.
We moved back to our hometown and things slowly got worse. My uncle (not the
same uncle as before) started some things too. I can't really remember (I was
10 at the time). I've been having flashbacks. I remember him showing me porn
and I can remember something about a video camera.
My dad slowly got more violent with me. Since
my mom didn't approve of hitting kids, he rarely hit me when my mom was around.
I remember one time when Mom was at work. I was doing the dishes and I dropped
a cup or something, and he picked me up and started to hit me. I hit my mouth
on the sink and got a bloody lip. There were times I told my mom what happened,
but she was too scared to say anything because when she did she got hit. I
tried to protect my younger brother the best I could from my dad, but I wasn't
around all the time so he was often hit too.
My dad was a manipulator and loved to put people down. I was constantly called dumb and fat; nothing I did was ever good enough. My parents are now divorced and things are slowly getting better. There's so much more I need to say, but I'm just not ready yet.
