I do hope you are now safe from abuse. And I hope the armor you're referring to reflects Love, and not closing oneself off. Thank you for sharing your poem with my visitors and me.

armor
by: michelle

yes darlene it is about god's love that is the armor i cover myself with,to trust again to love again,to know by him there is good people in this world that what happened to me can be over come i just have to believe it.and when it comes to haunt me to put that armor on,to know there is people who care like you and the wonderful people who come to this site, for i didn't find this site by accident i was led here,to know i am not alone and that i will get over this, but thank-you for being concerned,I was there long time ago (putting those walls up)but because of this site they are falling, all you get on this site is encouragement to live,to forgive, and to pass on the love to someone else thank-you

ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF:
by: maurice

Is there a need for me to say that to what comes accross in your poem as a very confident, assuring young woman with a heart of gold for children/adolecents and indeed anyone who is abused against their wills: Your Poem is empowering and will inspire many who read it; Love is at the heart of all good and true human relationships; RESPECT equally so: Valueing each other brings out the best in that LOVE: God is the giver of that graet gift: Thank You Michelle

Even though I went thru what I did my grandma and (grandpa)he we lost last year and is very much missed always taught us children to treat people the way you wanted to be treated,I even wish at one point I would have killed my abuser but now am glad i didn't,I don't want to be the same as him, face it forgive it forward,FFF.you will never forget but it doesn't have to control you.
