I couldn't agree more; tougher sentences are required. Whether or not it would be a deterrent for others, at the very least, it would make the people who committed these horrid acts a lot more accountable for their actions.

I Agree
by: Carole

I agree. Enough is enough. And until we give heavier and longer sentences for child abuse I am afraid the abuse will not be stopped.

A stronger outcry
by: Steph

Yes, a stronger and more forceful voice is needed to stop this. How can it be done? There are billboards everywhere pleading the public to report abuse. Do people actually report it? What happens once abuse is reported to the authorities? I wonder how many reports were made before these children were in these predicaments? All too often social services fails, the legal system fails to prevent major bodily harm or death. Protocol regarding investigations needs to improve as well as investigator training.

God help us
by: Andrea

My heart goes out to these babies, all of these children! As soon as I figure out how to help stop child abuse I am doing it and I will have my precious children help me, because I know everyone can make a difference and start saving lives even if it's one by one. So many children are tortured and killed.... I almost can't believe it. I pray for every soul lost to child abuse, at least their suffering is over.
