To Sophia:
by: Darlene - Healing Coach

I am happy to hear that you feel safe now,and that you're in college. That tells me you are forward-thinking and willing to do what is necessary to educate yourself so you can move away from the negativity that surrounded you for so long. It does sound as though you and your dad have mended the fences, at least somewhat, that were between you. I am disturbed on so many levels though, about the way your mother mistreated and neglected you, and the way both your parents seem to have shunned their responsibilities as parents. Not to mention the lack of reporting from the homeschool teacher who should have had alarm bells ringing like crazy when you weren't around to supervise. And that says nothing about the lack of reporting from the system when you were in hospital as a minor. It seems everyone failed you Sophia.

It's not surprising that you have nightmares and that you still get skittish. This is what I suggest: There may be counseling available to you in college, so please consider using the service if it's there for you. I can tell you want the best for yourself, so that would be another step for you.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. And as always, I send you loving healing energy.

I am sorry to hear about all of the negativity and dysfunction you were subjected to. I hope that you are able to find a support group to help you leave the past behind you. Good luck with college, you sound like a very intelligent young lady and I have no doubt you will succeed.
