It is so very difficult when you live in a country that is so patriarchal. Your father has taken complete advantage of that. He isolates you and your mother and maintains power and control over you financially, emotionally and educationally. That is what abusers do in order to keep their victims in line, to keep them from leaving. This is no longer child abuse. It has crossed the line to domestic violence. I found a page online with various resources available in your country, though I'll admit I cannot verify any of them. You'll have to check them out yourself. You can copy and paste the URL into your browser, and then look into them personally: http://helpstopdomesticabusenow.blogspot.ca/2011/08/indias-list-of-resources-for-domestic.html

I send you and your mother love, light and healing energy, Suki. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
