Yes, you were tortured as a child. But did you know that your body does not know the difference between the actual torture happening and the memory of it? Your body continues to react in the same way it did when you were being abused. When you question how it is that a parent could do what your parents so heartlessly did to you, your body responds in such a negative way that it will make you sick. And keep making you sicker and sicker. As victims of abuse, it's so very difficult to "make peace" with what we endured. We misguidedly think that when we do that we are saying that what happened to us was "okay". It wasn't okay and never will be. But when we're miserable and needing meds to survive, when our lives are filled with one terrible moment after another, if the goal is to live a life that is productive and has some joy in it, we need to do something that we aren't currently doing. We must be willing to change our perspective. Rather than question what and why it happened to you, try instead to bring meaning and purpose to it all. When we change our thoughts we change our lives. And you certainly deserve a better life. I send you love, light and healing energy, William. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
