I know you submitted your story quite some time ago. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. My apologies for taking so long to post.

Self-blame is so very common among survivors of abuse, even though it happened when they were very young, too young to be able to do anything about it.

Lauren, I know you struggle between logically knowing you weren't to blame and emotionally believing that you were. And you apologize so much. Your story was as long as it needed to be. You have the right to BE and to take up space on this planet. You have the right to express yourself and your feelings and emotions. Don't ever apologize for that.

You CAN heal from this, but it starts with giving yourself a much needed break. You were NOT to blame, no matter how much you tell yourself differently.

I send you love and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
