re-assurance thank you
by: maurice

Each time I open my mail I now get a great buzz knowing that I am reading genuine abuse stories as webmastered by you Darlene. Making each one very authentic as I read it. Comments especially your own Darlene are really beneficial even to me even though there your loving and supportive words to each uneque person telling the story. I am still hesitant to relate the real me and all I've come through over the years, my reason for opening up now and then. It ain't that easy now knowing I am sharing with real people who are closely becoming family to me so I am shy in front of you all. I feel really safe telling you my story and my way of dealing with my abuse. Darlene certainly allows each of her visitor that freedom to be free to tell one's real story from the safety of one's space/room. private and confidential and yet at times you are very close to me making me hesitant to tell all. That is good. all visitors to darlen's site as I am are re-assured by her how safe we are in her big loving family who care about each other and who really can emphatise with each one's story. Thank YOu

Action empowers us after words of love and understanding are shared.
by: Maurice

''Wow'' What a wonderful surprize to get your words acknowledgement Paul 1. Darlene sure deserves all the credit for allowing so many of us to become as you rightly put a Family of Survivors of abuse. Each of us her visitors are flesh and bone irrespective where our corner of the globe is. We've greater appreciation of our abuse now that we've taken action and the advice of Darlene's loving, caring understanding words of wisdom from her own abuse experience and her own healing from it and then to profeesionally set up a site that she knew would evoke gratitude like your's to her and me in your comment. There's life after abuse and we've proved it. We'll always be healing from it but we sure have hearts of gold to soothe away those scars, and bruises, from it by the sharing of our love for each other. Let us be that strength by daily living our lives to the full, thinking positive, acting positive and being positive in all we do and say to keep our healing from abuse at bay and letting go of it each time it raises it's head. Paul 1 Thank You. I can, I will, I must live well laugh alot and LOVE much. I'M SPECIAL AND I LOVE ME.

Onceone arrives on this site one has taken the first step ito healing and recoevery

Only in the past week I dwelled for some considerable time reading Darlene synompsous of her absue. My admiration of her soared even higher. I did not really pay full attention up to then. Now I can gain more from her heartfelt words which I know now come ever so naturally to her to each one of us her visitors. Yes, she is a total gifted professional in expressing her word too. But I observe her speaking from her heart especially now I know better all she went through while being abused. All she went through and learned from Dr Stein. How right she is that we all need to meet and speak with the Mr Steins who are there for our good, our healing and our recovery. Oh Darlene multo gratias, Thank you from my heart. I value your site greatly and all the good it does to each of your many visitors. Your smiling countanance is smiling up at me as I share with you and your visitors. I downloaded your brief expression of all you were put through and went through because of your beatings etc.A Mother's Craziness. Great you had the courage to seek out help and tell someone even though you had the feeling you might be thought crazy like your Mother. Ah sure we have a very special, concerned woman, now doing great caring, On Your Own terms. Much Thanks Darlene. I have crossed path's with similar abused people who were close to all the tings that you learned to deal with. Thankfully they too were in healing and were recovering ever so slowly. They as with you, and your many visitors assist me daily to Believe in myself and love myself while I live my life to the full each day I wake up. We're good for each other. Online, Each of us must put into action all the supporting words with encouragment from Darlene into practise where we are at in ourselves in order to progress healing within us.

From Darlene: Once again you honor me with such encouraging words of praise Maurice. Thank you.

A private anniversary
by: maurice

Today forty seven years ago I left that place of abuse by one Man: Even still the memories are quite strong knowing the hurt, pain, humiliation and his pervertedness had on me personally and all the other children and adolescent boys in that place: Knowing myself more and more about what physical abuse or indeed all forms of abuse are about I am still letting go as quickly as they enter my thoughts and memory the strong feelings That the memory of his leathers and other instruments had on my bare tender bottom: I sure see that time of my life in perspective from having shared them with a counselor and near and close friends: Invaluable are these great people in my life; Since arriving here on Darlene's site the affirmation I have received from her comment to me when I wrote my story and indeed her comments to each of her visitors since: Especially her comment to those who were spanked, beaten on the their bare bottoms: Some more harshly, sadistically and cruelly more that I had been: I sure would regard my beatings as mild compared to those real truthful sharing of others: But I acknowledged I was abused and that was the turning point in my life at 33 years of age: Thank You Darlene: And all your visitors for making me feel OK needed, wanted, and loved by all who made comments on my abuse: A deep source of comfort and gratitude from me to you all: Stay loving yourselves:
