Your father's actions were reprehensible
by: Darlene Barriere

You didn't deserve to have a father who treated you with such anger and hostility. You deserved love and compassion and nurturing and support.

I so related to the pain and suffering you went through when your father hatefully gave you a sick calf in hopes that it would die, in an effort to instill in you a message of worthlessness and hopelessness. You nursed that calf to good health, proving to your hateful father that he was wrong and that both the calf and you were worthy and confident. But he took that pride and worthiness and confidence, and he callously stomped all over it by selling the calf, that symbol of your strength, your courage and your undying intestinal fortitude. The final slap in the face was when he pocketed the money, an act that proved he was in complete control of you and that he held all the power. If he is still alive, he should be held accountable for his intolerable behaviour.

How Could He?
by: Francine

That is so sad! Did you ever forgive your father? You see, my parents and my brother beat me up, too. I know how you feel, Skinny.
