Riley:

You need help dealing with the betrayal, rejection and abandonment. Please talk to your grandmother and father and tell them that in order to be happy you need some type of counseling, that you need it to help you deal with the repercussions of what you lived before. Yes, be grateful for what you have now, but if you don't deal with the stuff that's got you still upset, it will fester and get worse. Please talk to them openly. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Your dad and grandma are right
by: Anonymous

Riley, your grandma and dad are right. It shouldn't hurt to be happy...but Darlene is right too because you will need to try counselling. What your abusers did to you was very pathetic and ungrateful. Oh, and I am just as disgusted by your so-called mother's reactions towards you when you tried to tell her about one of your stepbrothers beating you to a pulp or about your beast of a stepfather bashing your head against the wall; I really hate women who choose men over their own children because children should always come first. Oh, and those two monsters also even abused your other stepbrother and even your two stepsisters by teaching them to be abusive towards you...and they should even be locked up for that. Your mother certainly didn't deserve to have such a beautiful daughter like you; you didn't deserve to have a twisted, cowardly, sadistic mother; you really deserved to have a caring mother who would really love you, nurture you, cherish you, respect you and especially be there for you when you need her. However, I'm glad that your dad and grandma are with you now because they are so sweet for doing that!
