Malise:

Look at how strong you were to endure and survive all the abuse and neglect. There are no reasons that are humanly acceptable for why this woman was so abusive toward you, or for why your father chose to believe her and not you. She was sick and twisted; he turned a blind eye (there had to be signs that he chose to ignore). Yes, the pain is still very much there, but you can help ease that pain by giving your Self what you were denied. You know the truth, even though you father chose not to believe that truth. You know you were worthy of dignity and respect and love, even though your abuser used the most vile means to take that away from you. But she is only one person, a person without any credibility. What she thinks about your doesn't matter one iota. The physical scars have more than likely healed. What's left are the emotional scars, which translates to your thoughts, Malise. You can't help what you feel, but when you change what you think, you automatically change how you feel, which then automatically changes how you act. Tell your Self all the positive messages you failed to hear in that hellhole of a home. You have that in you. I know you do. And as you begin to heal more and more each day, spend time focusing on what you love to do, what brings joy into your life, and then spread that joy to others. You can find purpose in what you endured, Malise, but first, you must make the choice to heal. You've taken a first step by writing your story and sharing it here. Thank you for doing so. It's time to take the next step. I send you love, light and healing energy. me.
