I can only hope that you've gotten away from your violent and disturbed father and your obviously sick and twisted mother. You deserved to have loving and nurturing parents, but that's not what you got. Instead, you've been treated as less than human. If you are still a minor child and still in that terrible environment, please consider contacting one of the hotlines listed on my stories page, depending on where you live, in order to talk to someone confidentially. I wish you all the best. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Please get away, fast!
by: Anonymous

Kachick, your parents are so messed up that they don't know how to take care of themselves, not to mention be parents to you. They should've known better and loved and cherished you. Your so-called dad is one sick, sadistic, cowardly excuse of a man (only a coward would do such a thing like that to a poor, helpless, defenseless little boy you once were) and he should be locked up with his uncaring wife for all those terrible crimes they committed against you because you did nothing wrong. You were the child; they were the adults; they had all the power and they only misused it over you. You don't need your terrible, sadistic, cowardly, ignorant monster of a father; you don't need an uncaring, unloving, sick, messed up, equally ignorant excuse of a mother. Please get away from your poisonous "family" and please tell someone you really trust and keep telling until he/she will finally listen to you and help you.

what in the world???
by: My Two Cents

Kachick, your story is extremely disturbing on many levels. You have described SEVERE physical abuse that would leave visible evidence for other people to notice, and you mentioned "other kids in school" I believe.

So you know, teachers, doctors, nurses, daycare staff, social workers, etc, are all known as mandatory reporters. They are REQUIRED by law to report suspected child abuse. It seems really insane that this could be happening and no one has reported it to the child welfare authorities. What, are you walking around 24 hours a day in several layers of clothing? How do they not notice the bruises, scars, burns, and injuries???

I really hope you will report this to child welfare. The physical abuse you have described should be clearly identifiable as physical child abuse to a trained child abuse investigator and medical personnel such as a doctor or nurse. This will hopefully be enough to get you out of that environment and into a safe one. Also, your abuser held accountable for his crimes.

As for your future career, if you are worried about fire because of burns, so you know, not all firefighters fight fires. Some people become arson investigators or do public outreach to schools - stop, drop, and roll - for example so I hope you will investigate the possibilities open to following your dream of firefighting.

Be well.

My Two Cents.

Please get help!
by: Tigger Huisinga

Please try to get help. I know that in our society today the police system doesn't protect the many abused children as it should. Don't be worried about what people think, just tell someone. An adult, preferably. Get help and never forget your dream. When you remember the pain, think of people inside burning buildings. If there is even a small bit of that dream still inside of you, let it come to life again.
