Something I learned a very long time ago was that I had a choice on how I would view what happened to me in my childhood. I could choose to see my Self as a victim, or I could choose to see my Self as strong for having survived and then thrived afterward. Yes, you were abused by a very deeply troubled mother. Yes, you deserved to be treated with dignity and respect. Yes, you deserved to have others have seen the signs sooner...that didn't happen. But what DID happen is that people noticed and did something when you were 5 years old, which ultimately resulted in a better life for you. Try focusing on the good stuff, Georgia, because there WAS good stuff. You now have the ability to choose for your Self how you will conduct your life and how true to Who You Really Are you will be. I also believe in meeting people where they are; and right now, you are in a place where you need help. Please seek out some form of counselling or therapy in order to help you deal with the effects of all you endured. You deserve that help. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
