Report molestations . . .
by: Darlene Barriere - webmaster

Annie, your story showcases the importance of believing a child when they tell. "Throwing the abuser out of the house" may well protect one child, but it does nothing to dissuade the abuser from molesting again—and they usually do molest again, sometimes with deadly results. Report the molestation to the authorities. Doing so could save another child from being sexually assaulted.

Good on you!
by: Francine

Good thing you told your mom and another good thing that your mom believed you and saved you by kicking your "step-dad" out of your house. But bad news...I'm so sorry that he raped a nine-year-old girl and killed her mother...it's not right for people to kill someone's mother (like he did the nine-year-old's mom). He should've been in jail for a long time (for raping you and a nine-year-old and killing a nine-year-old victim's mother)! But I'm also glad that you sought help from a counsellor (as well as your mom). God bless you, your mom and your daughter. Take care!
