Nothing that happened to you was your fault. You said it yourself: you (and your sister) were so young. The adults in your life were and will always be responsible. This is not on you. But what you do with your life now is the most important thing of all. Counseling will only help if you really open up to the process. It's grueling work because it forces you to be upfront about your emotions and what actually happened. I learned a very long time ago that someone else was not going to be able to help me until I accepted first of all that I needed help and then allowed someone in. That means trusting, which can be so difficult when you've dealt with all that you have. Don't think about a relationship with someone right now, rather, work on what you need in your life to move forward from the horrific abuse you suffered. You're worthy of that, Angel. More than you realize. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

I'm sorry

Angel, what your so-called parents did to you was disgusting. You deserved so much better than what they did to you. They are so twisted, perverted and messed up that they didn't even know how to take care of themselves, not to mention be parents to you. Oh, and what they did to you was not about love at all; in fact, it was all about control, power and manipulation. I hope you're in a safe place now and that you try counselling.
