When I was 4 years old, my granddad started sexually abusing me, and as I was so young, I thought it was normal. As years went on, he used to say that it was our secret and that if I was to tell anyone, he wouldn't be my best friend anymore. It all finally stopped when I was 12 years old, when my grandma walked in on him waving his penis at me. I knew I should have told someone, but I was scared and worried. I have had counselling with SOCA and I am now open to talk about my horrid experience. I also want to stop child abuse happening elsewhere. |
