Child Abuse Story From Cody:
Hi my name is Cody. My story begins when I was five
or six and I lived with my mom and dad. I was forced to do anything my mom
wanted. She was lazy and messy, and me and my brother had to do as she said or
she would smack, strangle or just hit us. We had to scrub the floor, and if we
did anything wrong she would hit us with her belt, but she would use it like a
whip. She also just spanked us with the metal part of the belt. It was horrible
for me and my brother. She was also mean. We never did anything but go to school
and come home and do her bidding all day long. She even made me stay up all night
to help her clean the carpet. I can't really explain everything, but it was
harsh and I'm not really telling everything because I'm still afraid. I hope
one day I will learn to live with it.
Now I'm trying to put a life together. It's
hard because I had no friends when I was little because I had no time for them.
I have very bad social skills. I'm very shy. I'm so shy, I go swimming in
the local pool and end up paying and leaving.
Right now I live with my loving dad and stepmother, who is more of a mother to me than that lady who birthed me. I love them dearly, and I don't talk to my real mom anymore.
