A viewpoint worthy of note...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

You pose a very interesting perspective, Peter; one that merits a great deal of further study.

Society must protect children by ensuring pedophiles are isolated and not permitted to be anywhere near children; there is no question about that. But if society continues to simply shun and incarcerate pedophiles, rather than study why they became that way in the first place in conjunction with incarceration, we will condemn ourselves to more of the same.

To Peter in response to post in another thread:
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

I'm writing you a heartfelt thank you, Peter, for the kind and encouraging words you left in another post that I gather you didn't want me to publish. Since it wouldn't have been appropriate for me to reply in that particular thread, I thought I'd do so here on yours; I believe a thank you deserves, at the very least, an acknowledgment. I too hope I'll be able to keep doing what I do for many more years to come. It certainly helps when visitors such as you take the time to write me their appreciation for what I do. And it came at a very opportune time; a time when so many visitor comments coming my way are anything but appreciative.
