Positively affected...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Those are excellent books, Francine. You've walked away after reading these books with a greater understanding of human resilience; I congratulate you.

Dave Pelzer has written other books that you might be interested in, Francine. The Lost Boy, A Foster Child's Search for the Love of a Family is the sequel to A Child Called "It" and chronicles Dave's life in foster care after he was rescued by a police officer from torturous and almost-deadly abuse by his deranged mother. A Man Named Dave is his inspiring story of triumph over abuse and forgiveness of both his mother and father, the man who stood idly by while his wife inflicted the most heinous forms of abuse on his son. Help Yourself: Finding Hope, Courage and Happiness offers a way to move beyond your past.

Dave is a single dad, and he travels extensively, giving inspirational workshops to agencies, schools and corporations dedicated to helping children at risk. He gives hope to all who have come from any form of adversity. He truly is an inspirational man.

Thank you for sharing how Dave Pelzer's book—and the books of others—have positively affected you, Francine. Perhaps the titles above will further help you along your own road toward healing and recovery.
