Deepest sympathy...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Brenda, my sincere condolences over the loss of your beloved nephew, Jesus.

I agree with you; we do need stricter laws when it comes to dealing with child abuse. I hope his abuser is found guilty and must serve the Indiana state maximum of 50 years in prison for the crime of taking the life of such an innocent child.

Thank you for sharing Jesus's story with my visitors and me.

The Dating Mom in the 21st Century
by: Aunt Sandy

All too often we hear the comments in the paper or hear of them on television that another child has lost their life to their Mother's boyfriend.
I find it appalling that the first thing many women think about after having a child, or divorcing would be another relationship.
It seem child homicide by friends of the mother are increasing. These women usually after returning to the work force, will date men for four basic reasons: financial support, sexual desire, babysitting or a roof over their heads. Sad statement that the boy have a safe haven, but the mother took him with her. Too bad her priority of protecting the child and maternal instincts did not provide better for the child.
Prayers to you. I hope everyone heals soon.

i am so sorry for your loss, i too lost my 2 year old grandson due to alcohol abuse, my daughter and my grandson were staying at a motel my daughter who comes from and alcoholic family.Yes i,m and alcoholic to but i haven't had a drink since Feb 12,08 On that fateful evening my daughter passed out and rowed over on my grandson and suffocated him.Her boyfriend found them but they could't save my beautiful Sheldon who had been staying with me the last 3 weeks of his life my daughter was in and out of jail 9 times of p.i charges the judge just kept letting her out.I know deal with alot of guilt knowing that i should have protected my grandson on that nite and not let my daughter take him for the nite but i didn't have any legal papers and you always think it cant happen to my family, but i now know it can and feel the emptyness in my heart ever day. My daughter is now in jail for neg. and is looking at 30-50 yrs my grandaughter who is 6 is in the custody of c.p.s. it's been so hard on my whole family we lost the youngest one on Feb 6 08 and i don't think my family well ever be the same.
