My ex has tried to kill my daughter; the system does nothing

I have a 1 ½-year-old baby girl. When my ex was pregnant with her, she told me she wanted to kill my daughter. I thought nothing of it at that time, but later on she tried to drug my daughter with meds she was on (my ex was on) and my daughter almost died. After that, my daughter started to show up at my house with bruises all over her body. My lawyer did nothing and told me to do nothing. So I got a new lawyer, hoping he does something. But the funny thing is, the judge told me that I have a mental illness because I was in an accident when I was 12; which I was, but it wasn't that bad. Every time I tried to show him the medical records that show my ex tried to kill my daughter, he just told me to sit down and shut up. He doesn't care about children, and that she might be dead by now. He even took away my rights because of my ex's lies.

I am going to make sure he is put behind bars for life. If anyone out there reads this and can help, that would be great.

It does seem very odd that a judge would shut you down when you were in the middle of showing him medical records as proof of abuse. Perhaps the judge rendered your attempt as a custody battle issue; but I cannot say one way or the other. If you are saying that there are medical records that act as proof of child abuse against your daughter, under Pennsylvania law, the health care professionals who treated your daughter were legally obligated as mandatory reporters to make a report. Whether it was you or a health care professional, someone should have reported the case to Child Protective Services.

I'm not a lawyer, Paul, so I cannot offer you any legal advice. Perhaps one of my visitors can offer some form of assistance.

Paul, I am so sorry that no one wanted you to save your daughter from your ex-wife. Even the judge is so heartless! The whole system let you down, Paul, the whole system. You might want to call the cops on your ex-wife and that so-called judge and tell the cops that your ex was trying to kill your daughter and that the judge didn't care. They will not allow her to have your daughter. Take care!

well Darlene the problem is, is that my ex and her family have money and I am just a blue collar worker . I just was talking to a cop the other day and he said that i was being messed around with because in PA they favor women over men . and she also has money , But in the medical records my ex lied to the doctors about the attempt on my daughter's life so they thought it was an accident . On another note when i picked my daughter up form my ex more than once she had bruises all over her body and YES even her neck . because my ex tried to choke her .I did report it 4 times and had pictures and YES even a tape that my ex comfessed to me that she was abusing my daughter but she has been lying just to try to stay out of jail .
